Poker show "Two Months, Two Million" axed |
Monday, 08 March 2025 11:01 |
♣ Fans of the poker documentary "Two Months Two Million" who were expecting to see Jay "Krantz" Rosenkrantz and co return to the cable channel G4 are going to be bitterly disappointed after an announcement was made to say the show had been dropped and the future of the franchise was now up in the air.

The first, and possibly only, season of the show aired last March and ran for ten weeks and was relatively well received by the online poker community. The documentary followed Rosenkrantz, Emil Patel, Dani Stern and Brian Roberts in their attempts to win $2,000,000 from poker in just two months.
Despite the online community showing support for the show, it failed to gain a large enough audience and was eventually moved from Sunday night to a midweek spot on Wednesday to avoid competition from the hugely popular NFL football games but viewing figures failed to improve which will have been one of the main reasons for plans for a second series being shelved.
Also thought to be a problem with the shows producers was the fact the foursome failed in their quest to win $2,000,000, and failed by quite a margin. The crew started well by winning $35,000 in the first week which rose to almost $200,000 by the end of week two but things seemed to go badly and by the time the fifth episode had aired the team was only up by $35,000.
The usually calm and collected Rosenkrantz seemed on the verge of quitting the challenge but pulled himself back together to mount a series challenge on the task in hand. The four online pro's efforts were not enough though as by the time the tenth and final episode had aired, they had won $676,000, way short of their target but still a very respectable amount.
When asked about his thoughts on the show being dropped, Rosenkrantz revealed, "We're exploring our options. I learned a lot doing '2 Months, $2 Million,' not the least of which was what people really liked about it and what didn't work. Hopefully, we'll get a chance to let that experience work for us." |

Another eventful night for Isildur1 |
Friday, 19 February 2025 09:05 |
♣ Isildiur1 played Brian Townsend, for the first time after their infamous $4,2 million session. He took Brian for $500,000 on the Pot-Limit Omaha tables. Isildur1 obviously wasn't finished playing Brian and played another heads-up match the next evening. This time he dropped $658,000 to his opponent.
The next night Isildur1 and Hastings sat down at six tables $300/$600 pot-limit Omaha and got ready for their third heads-up match this week. After only an hour and a half Isildur1 won $505,000 from the Cardrunner-pro. The largest pot this session was $274,197. I'm sure we'll see more heads-up action between these two, especially because Isildur1 lost $4,2 million to Brian back in March. We'll keep you posted.
